- Evergreen Chrysanthemum Association — The Evergreen Chrysanthemum Association hosts America’s premier Mum show here at the nursery every Fall, and also sells many of its rarest varieties at a special sale each Spring! Visit them to learn more about this fun organization and the things they do!
- Plant Amnesty — This organization is aimed at educating the public about caring for plants in a way that will keep both you and the plant happy! They also host an adopt-a-plant board so that gardeners can exchange plants!
- Seattle Tilth — Seattle Tilth is a nationally recognized non-profit educational organization dedicated to inspiring and educating people to garden organically and conserve natural resources.

- WSU Hortsense — Looking to solve a problem? Washington State University’s Hortsense website is a great place to go to learn about some of this region’s most common weeds, pests, and diseases and how to go about treating them!
- WSU’s Gardening in Washington — Sponsored by Washington State University, this great website is perfect for anyone looking for information on Washington-based gardening topics!

- Bellevue Botanical Gardens — Located in the heart of Bellevue, these are some of the most beautiful gardens you’ll find in the entire region! The gardens boast a wide range of plants, including many rare specimens!
- Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden — Make sure you visit the Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden to see a garden that is growing larger every year! You’ll already see some great gardens designed and maintained by people in our community including Elda Behm’s Paradise Garden, The Seike Japanese Garden, and more!
- Kubota Gardens — A stunning twenty acres of hills and valleys, the Kubota Garden features streams, waterfalls, ponds, rock outcroppings and an exceptionally rich and mature collection of plant material. This unique urban refuge displays over sixty years of vision, effort and commitment by the Kubota family.
- Lakewold Gardens — Located in Lakewood, Washington, Lakewold offers landscape architecture by Thomas Church surrounded by rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, 30 Japanese maples and stunning statuary. A Washington State historic landmark, Lakewold’s Georgian-style mansion and historic architecture complete the 10 acres where visitors can step back in time to an elegant past or enjoy a relaxing moment to contemplate the future.
- Point Defiance Park — Tacoma’s Crown Jewel, Point Defiance Park is always a place worth visiting! In addition to the zoo, you’ll find that the park itself is packed full of things for the gardener to check out! Visit the Point Defiance Botanic Gardens to see prize winning Roses, Rhododendrons, Natives, and much more! When you’re finished with that, explore the 5-mile drive, which winds through scenic forested areas, peeking out on occasion to give you beautiful views of the Sound, the Mountains, and the Narrows Bridge. Along that drive, you’ll encounter rare, old growth trees that are nothing short of spectacular!
- Rhododendron Species Garden & Bonsai Collection — Located on the Weyerhaeuser Campus in Federal Way, these two amazing horticultural displays are really a sight to see, especially during the Spring months when the Rhododendrons and Azaleas are in their full, glorious bloom!
- Washington Park Arboretum — Located near the Seattle Campus of the University of Washington, this wonderful arboretum is a great place to spend the day! You’ll find lots of rare specimens as well as a world-class Japanese Garden that has to be seen to be believed!
